2024 Meet the Music Series

The MSO’s new Meet the Music Series for secondary schools is an exciting array of incredible performers and some of the best orchestral repertoire out there including much-loved works by Holst, Gershwin, Elgar, and Tchaikovsky. With six concerts to choose from there is something to inspire everyone, from world premieres by Yorta Yorta composer Deborah Cheetham Fraillon AO and Katy Abbott our MSO Composer in Residence, to the warmth and passion of our Chief Conductor, Jaime Martín, to the sensational violin prodigy Christian Li.

Each concert in this series will be accompanied by a digital pre-concert talk with James Le Fevre, Head of Music at the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School (VCASS), to help prepare students for the performance. These resources will be available shortly on MSOschools.com.au.
