The MSO and Chief Conductor Jaime Martín bring a spectacular program to Mildura featuring Beethoven’s Symphony No.7.
Premiering at a benefit concert for soldiers who had been wounded fighting Napoleon’s forces, Beethoven’s Seventh was an instant hit, enthralling audiences with its buoyant melodies and rhythms. The second movement has taken on life of its own, even being featured in the climax of Oscar-winning film The King’s Speech.
