Hamer Hall provides opportunities for artists and audiences to experience live music performed by the finest musicians from around the world. Located at the gateway to Melbourne’s cultural precinct, Hamer Hall has recently undergone a $135.8 million redevelopment which has brought a new level of comfort for audiences in the auditorium and foyers, while both musicians and audiences now benefit from improvements to stage technology and acoustic performance.

Entry to events at Arts Centre Melbourne venues require the ticket holder to comply with the venue's conditions of entry, including all relevant COVID-19 protocols, which may include providing proof of COVID-19 vaccination or valid medical exemption.
Parking is available in the Arts Centre Melbourne/NGV car park, (Sturt St, Southbank) or at the Australian Ballet Centre car park (2 Kavanagh St, Southbank). Alternatively, there are various parking facilities available nearby – see the map below.
Flinders Street Station is located 250 metres from Hamer Hall. Exit the station toward St Kilda Rd, turn right and head south. Once across the Yarra River, Hamer Hall will be on your right. For timetable information and trip planning visit PTV.
The Arts Precinct tram stop (Stop #14) is 210 metres from Hamer Hall. It is located outside the National Gallery of Victoria and is serviced by tram routes 1, 3/3a, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 and 72. For timetable information and trip planning visit PTV or Yarra Trams.
All levels of Hamer Hall are accessible via lifts and escalators.
Removable seats/spaces for wheelchair or scooter users are available on all levels of Hamer Hall, along with companion seating. To book, call the MSO Box Office on (03) 9929 9600. Other accessible seating options are also available, including seats situated on aisles, without stairs, close to entry points, or with moveable arm rests.
Walkers are not permitted to stay in the hall during performances, but can be used to access seats and then removed and minded by venue staff for the duration of the concert. Walkers can then be retrieved by staff upon request at interval and at the conclusion of the concert.
Complimentary loan wheelchairs can also be booked to assist with travel throughout the building, including to and from the Arts Centre Melbourne/NGV car park. Please call the Arts Centre Melbourne Contact Centre on 1300 182 183 for assistance with loaning a wheelchair.
Accessible toilets are available on all levels of the hall.
Assistive listening devices are available for use in every seat and are free of charge. Connection can be achieved with standard headphones or with hearing aids via a neck loop. Devices can be borrowed from the Cloak Room on Level 6 of Hamer Hall. Photo ID will be required when borrowing.

Braille is used in the lifts, as well as other areas of and signage in Hamer Hall.
Guide dogs and service animals are welcome at Hamer Hall and generally sit under the seat during the performance. Please call the MSO Box Office on (03) 9929 9600 to notify us if you will be accompanied by an assistance animal.
Water bowls are available for use in foyer areas on request.
